Moraine Creek

If you are looking to catch Trophy Rainbow Trout and lots of them, then Moraine Creek is the river for you. The peak time of year is end of July through mid September when hundreds of thousands of sockeye salmon are spawning in the river. These salmon lead the rainbows into the river and you will have opportunities to hook into some Trophy Rainbow Trout. When the trout eat all these eggs it gives them an opportunity to grow large and every year a few lucky anglers hook into a fish of a lifetime. This river is a great river for beginner and intermediate fisherman and is a great river for your first Alaskan experience. Reach out and we will set up your trip of a lifetime.
