American Creek 2022 Season June 29th- July 3

We had another great week on American creek. We did get rained on one day but we had the sun up the whole time as we were fishing. The upper section of the river fished awesome for us as we caught lots of fish on top with the chubby as we were floating and also got the fish below surface fishing big pheasant tails or hare’s ears. One of the most memorable moments for me was as Craig caught a 25 inch toad from the boat on a chubby. Once we got him to the boat we realized he had a chunk taken out of him by an osprey or an eagle so we released him quickly and sent him on his way. Water had gone down a couple inches from the week previous making it a little harder to row but the fishing was awesome. As we got lower we started getting into larger fish and everyone ended up catching a fish over 26 inches on the trip with the largest being a 28 inch tank. Fish Totals for the week were 4 anglers 450 fish hooked with around 300 to the boat, 120 over 20 inches and largest of 28 inches landed.
